QA Lead

Role:  Our client is an enterprise virtualization and storage company & developing Analytics solutions using Python and similar technologies. As a key member of ground-breaking product team responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Validate responsive, browser-based UI applications as well as cloud-based service
• Provide production support for services delivered by the team as Virtual Appliances
• Collaborate with Product Management team to translate requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables
• Contribute as a hands-on technical member in project development activities, as require
• Coach and mentor junior engineers. Develop and use effective mechanisms to ensure code quality using code reviews, static analysis of code
• Identify and manage key risks and raises them to higher levels as appropriate
• Contribute in organizational activities such as recruitment drives, campus hiring, training, grooming junior staff, writing blogs, representing Xoriant in industry forums

Key Skills –

Mandatory Skills:

• Should have 10 – 12 years of strong experience in Shell Scripting, Python and relevant technologies
• Background of Enterprise Company – Product Development experience (i.e. Virtualization, Cloud Native software’s, Networking, Storage, Kernel, Operating System as well OS level) would be prefer
• Hands-on development experience of creating automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Python, and RESTful Web Services
• Develop test strategy, write test plans and detailed test cases
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, process and authoring of test documents
• Strong background of working in Linux Operating System
• Ability to identify and demonstrate tools for automated solutions best suited for testing needs
• Experience in developing clean, maintainable automated tests for both UI and backend components
• Passion and ownership of quality of the applications owned by the team to deliver enterprise grade products
• Ability to develop strong domain knowledge to enable making product level decisions
• Deep understanding of Software Development Process and Methodology (Waterfall or Agile)
• Good knowledge of GIT, Jenkins and Gerrit
• Sound knowledge on Jira
• Experience in Test Driven Development
• Good exposure to virtualization concepts
